Let's try this shatter thing one more time!  If you haven't had the satisfaction of taking your frustrations out on a piece of glass with a hammer, this class is for you.  This time we will make a round plate or bowl.

    You will need to bring:

    • Two 12" x 12" pieces of glass of your choice - the piece you will use for the bottom layer of  your bowl should be clear, transparent, or opal (NO SWIRLY PATTERN).  The piece you will use for the top layer must be opal (Swirly opal is ok).  If you don't have glass to use, the store has just gotten in a lovely supply.
    • Also bring dicroic or plain frit, stringers, murinee or dots if you want to embellish your bowl with them.

The instructors will provide contact paper, and have a limited supply of embellishments available.

    Also bring:

    • cutting tools
    • cutting oil
    • a small paint brush
    • ruler
    • liquid hair spray in a small squirt bottle (available at the store)
    • scissors
    • a black Sharpie pen

A $2.00 fee will be due at the beginning of the class to the instructor for provided supplies.  No firing fees are being charged as part of the class.  You will be responsible for firing your project.  This can be paid at the end of class at the front desk.

As always, don't forget your safety glasses and wear closed toed shoes.

    Location:  Classroom

    Date:  5/20 12:30pm to 4:00pm

Instructors:  Judy Stodieck and Sandy Stretcher

Here's another chance for you to make your 4x4 backsplash tile for the studio.  This time, we'll use the COE 90 that was given to us by my instructor in Las Vegas.  We have plenty of glass, and some dots.  If you have COE 90 embellishments to share, please bring them.

DO NOT bring COE 96 - they don't play well together!

The pop up will be in the studio on May 20, 1-3 pm, instructor Jayne Becker.

No need to register, just come and make art that will go on the wall!

Remember closed toe shoes and safety glasses!
