Let's try this shatter thing one more time! If you haven't had the satisfaction of taking your frustrations out on a piece of glass with a hammer, this class is for you. This time we will make a round plate or bowl.

A $2.00 fee will be due at the beginning of the class to the instructor for provided supplies. No firing fees are being charged as part of the class. You will be responsible for firing your project. This can be paid at the end of class at the front desk.
As always, don't forget your safety glasses and wear closed toed shoes.

Cancellation Policy: To cancel a workshop, members must submit a cancellation notice to the website calendar administrator, Phyllis Messier, at pjmessier53@gmail.com. If a member cancels, they will be given a refund if a replacement is found prior to the workshop date. Refunds will be given for family or medical emergencies.
Here's another chance for you to make your 4x4 backsplash tile for the studio. This time, we'll use the COE 90 that was given to us by my instructor in Las Vegas. We have plenty of glass, and some dots. If you have COE 90 embellishments to share, please bring them.
DO NOT bring COE 96 - they don't play well together!
The pop up will be in the studio on May 20, 1-3 pm, instructor Jayne Becker.

This Moonlight Sail pattern will give you a chance to expand your skills in the stained glass copper foil method. Two days are scheduled now. After we see how far we get, we will schedule additional days. The pattern will be provided.
The finished project is 10 1/2" x 14"

Are you tired of not having the perfect color of frit available to finish a project? Join us to learn how to make your own frit in any size when you need it!
We will make fried frit (that's right) in an electric frying pan. We will make a grain mill to quickly make frit and use the piston method as well as the mortar and pestle to make frit by hand.
Materials:

To everyone who has taken the frit slurry flower workshop: We are doing a pop-up to put stems on the flowers.
Anna will be in the coldwork room with the drill press for those whose flowers still need holes.
Kathy will be in the studio to help with stem placement.
If you have a 1/4' diamond drill bit, please bring it. Also bring a medium (#2) Phillips head screwdriver and regular pliers.
Kathy will supply the copper tubing, the screws and washers. There will be a $2.50 fee for the supplies payable at the beginning of the pop-up.
Please remember to bring safety glasses and wear closed toe shoes.

NOTE: Workshop is on 5/25 and is scheduled 9:30am to 11:00am AND 1:30pm to 2:30 pm
Need small flowers? Join us to learn freeze and fuse to make flowers, animals, leaves, etc. This will be a two segment workshop on the same day. We will use opal frit powder mixed with water in silicone molds which will then be frozen. We will take a break until 1:30 pm, then return to removed the items from the molds and place them on a 6 x 6 tile prepared with papyros (kiln) paper. The tiles will go immediately into the kiln to be fired.
Bring:
Kathy will have frit to use for $3.00 payable at the beginning of the workshop. There will also be needle nose squirt bottles to use during the workshop if the store is out.
The 6 x 6 tile will be provided along with the papyros paper as well as the silicone molds for use during the workhshop.
You MUST have a P100 mask.
Wear closed toe shoes and bring your safety glasses.

This pop-up is on May 25, 12:00-2:00 PM you will learn how to make dots and make two sets - one for intro fusing, and one for yourself. Firing for intro is free, firing for you is standard $2.50.
Bring your scrap glass, tools, 6"x6" tile (can be checked out from the club).
Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring safety glasses.

Make a copper foiled stained glass flower with wire trim. This project is for new students who would like to learn the copper foil method of stained glass.
For this projecct you will need:

It's a great way to find out the latest information on what's happening with the Club!
In this workshop, you will first use straight (not vitrigraph) stringers to make a part sheet on clear glass. The second day you will place your part sheet on opaque and clear base glass and arrange the "optics" clear glass on top.
On Day 1 please bring:
On Day 2 you will assemble the optics part of your project.

The workshop fee will cover two firing fees. No glass will be provided by the club. If you choose to slump your project, you will need to schedule and pay for a third firing fee yourself.
