This workshop is for new members only. You are considered a new member for 6 months after you have joined.

In this workshop you will get a chance to practice your skills at cutting on a curve by designing a decorative pumpkin and owl for display or hanging (see pictures).

The pumpkin is on a 6” x 6” base (clear or your color of choice), and the pumpkin will be cut from a 4” x 4” sheet of glass (your choice of color). The owl will also  be cut from a 4" x 4” sheet of glass (your choice of color). Please bring any embellishment materials you have. The instructor will have embellishment materials for those who need them. The firing cost for the pumpkin will be $1.50, and the owl’s firing cost will be $.50.

YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES TO THIS WORKSHOP:

* a 6” x 6” sheet of COE 96 glass for the base of the pumpkin (your choice of color)

* a 4” x 4” sheet of COE 96 glass for the pumpkin (your choice of color)

* a 4” x 4” sheet of COE 96 glass for the owl (your choice of color)

* any embellishment materials you have (scrap glass, dots, stringers, frit, etc.)

* $2.00 for firing the two projects

PLEASE ALSO HAVE THE FOLLOWING BASIC FUSING SUPPLIES FOR EVERY WORKSHOP:

* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)

* Glues: Elmer’s (clear or white), Needle nosed bottle with non-aerosol hairspray

* Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Pen & Pencil

* Other helpful items:Tweezers, Toothpicks, A carrying box for projects

* Safety Items: Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids

* Bring a firing ticket!
