NEW MEMBERS ONLY  WORKSHOP: This workshop is for new members only. (You are considered a "new member" for 6 months after joining.)

Join us in this workshop to design a decorative votive and to see how using a drape mold differs from a slump mold. The design can have a seasonal theme, a holiday theme, an abstract theme, or any other design you'd like.

You must bring the following supplies to this workshop:

* a 7"x7" sheet of clear COE 96 glass

* a 3"x3" sheet of clear COE 96 glass

* a design idea for decorating (You can look under "fused glass votives" on Pinterest.)

* embellishment materials such as dots, stringers, scrap glass, etc., if you have them

* $4 for the two firing fees (small bills, please)

You must also bring the following basic fusing supplies:

* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)

* Glues: Elmer’s (clear or white), Needle nosed bottle with non-aerosol hairspray

* Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Pen & Pencil

* Other helpful items:Tweezers, Toothpicks, A carrying box for projects

* Safety Items: P-100 Mask, Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids

* Bring a firing ticket!

IMPORTANT: If you need to order glass from Southwest Art Glass (SWAG), you need to place your order by 5:00 PM Friday, June 26th. If you need help ordering call Judy at 763-516-1769. You can also buy fusing glass at Tucson Stained Glass on Grant Ave. in Tucson. (Please don't depend on getting glass from our studio store. The store is meant more for "emergency" use.)
