Workshop Level: Intermediate: Able to design and create simple projects with minimal guidance; trained on all studio equipment.

Stained Glass bird to hang on a flower pot.

The instructor will have available in class:

• A pattern for the bird
• Wire to learn how to make the twisted wire to make the hanger for the bird
• Two black glass eyes
• Patina to color the solder

You need to bring colored glass pieces to make the pieces of the bird.

You can use pieces of glass that make a bird that looks like a real bird or one that is a bird of fun colors.

General supplies to bring to class:

• Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
• Foil, flux and solder
• Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Pen & Pencil
• Other helpful items: Tweezers, Toothpicks
• A carrying box for projects
