INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP
Let’s get together to make a fused glass wind chime and learn how to hang it on your choice of cholla, Diamond Willow or driftwood, with beaded chimes.

You need to bring on day one:
* your own design idea
* One 6" x 4" clear base and 5 clear 3/4” x 4” chimes for your artwork (maximum sizes).
* COE 96 glass scraps for your design
* all of your glass cutting tools - Toyo cutter, Running pliers, Grozers, Nippers
* cutting surface (waffle grid)
* hairspray and Elmer’s glue
* a 6” x 6” tile and Papyros for firing your pieces; you pay firing fee
* Safety Glasses, closed-toe shoes, band-aids
Bring on day two:
Beads if you have them, some will be provided.

Please cut your pieces of clear as noted above prior to class.
If you have specific bead colors in mind for your design, please bring them as we don’t have a large selection. Otherwise, we will supply hooks and leather for hanging your project, the nichrome loops, barrel spinners, crimps and hanging wire for the chimes, and the wood for hanging your artwork. Also, bring your scrap glass and embellishments for making your base piece and chimes. Some scrap glass will be provided.
There will be a $10 fee payable to the instructors at the beginning of the workshop to cover these expenses.
Plan to pay your own firing fees on first day, you can use a tile for firing chimes if you want (don’t forget firing paper).
Remember to wear closed toe shoes and bring safety glasses.
