BEGINNER LEVEL WORKSHOP
Beginner: Learning how to cut basic shapes and follow a line; familiar with basic tools and supplies. Fusers understand full, contour, tack, slump firing programs.
Workshop Location: Frit Room or available space
This class does not count against your other class for the month. We will be cutting different shapes and straight lines out of float glass. Learning to use the Beattle bits and Morton system: correctly (only doing straight cuts). We will just practice- practice- practice. We will not be making a project in this class.
General supplies to bring to class:
* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
* Glues: Elmer’s (clear or white), Needle nosed bottle with non-aerosol hairspray
* Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Pen & Pencil
* Other helpful items:Tweezers, Toothpicks, A carrying box for projects
* Safety Items: P-100 Mask, Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids
* Bring a firing ticket!
