Beginner: Learning how to cut basic shapes and follow a line; familiar with basic tools and supplies.

A simple pattern will be used. You will frame your pattern and hold in place with push pins. Glass will be cut and fit directly into the pattern being sure to not go outside the pattern. Grind pieces and then foil. Foiled pieces will be fit back into the pattern and then tacked into place with solder. Tacked piece will be removed from the frame and then soldered. Beveled pieces (6) will be provided at a cost of $6.00.

General supplies to bring to class:

• Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
• Foil, solder, flux, applicators, patina, frames, puhs pins
• Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Silver metallic marker
• Other helpful items: A carrying box for projects
