Beginner: Learning how to cut basic shapes and follow a line; familiar with basic tools and supplies. Stained glass users will obtain practice at using a pattern, glass cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering.

We will be making a Spring tulip! Members will receive a pattern. Pattern pieces will be traced on to glass of their choice. Pieces will be cut, and the grinder used to fit pieces snuggly together. Cut glass pieces will be foiled, placed into the pattern and soldered into place. Finishing touches (circle and wire) will be provided to complete a beautiful tulip!

General supplies to bring to class:

• Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
• Flux and an applicator, Black Backed Copper Foil and a fid, Black Patina and an applicator
• A couple of 4X6 glass colors of your choice. Refer to picture for color choices.
• Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Silver Marker
• Other helpful items: A carrying box for projects and supplies
