INTERMEDIATE LEVEL WORKSHOP
Intermediate: Able to design and create simple projects with minimal guidance; trained on all studio equipment. Fusers are learning about special firing programs.
Have you ever wondered about the design process? Have you ever wanted to create your own design and creatively claim a piece as your own from beginning to end?
In this class we will explore how to design a geometric piece using straight lines and curves as a starting point.
The instructors will share how they approach design and share techniques that have worked for them.
After the design creation....then what? How do you bring it to life? How do you choose your colour palette? How do you transfer your design to glass?
There will also be time for a question and answer period.
Then you will begin to work on your own design and hopefully when you leave the class you will have your "jump start" that you can turn into a unique, individual, and creative piece of art.
You will need to bring:
*2-3 pieces of 12X12 paper divided into a grid of 1/2" squares
*pencil
*ruler
*eraser - the white ones work best
*thin sharpie marker
*geometry compass/protractor - we will have some extras there if you need one
*closed toed shoes
