NEW MEMBERS ONLY WORKSHOP

You are a new member for only 6 months after joining.

This workshop is for new members only. In this workshop you will design three 3”x4” eggs that can be used as plant stakes (or to hang, if you prefer).

You will learn techniques for cutting on curves and using embellishment materials (scrap glass, dots, stringers, frit, etc.) to decorate each egg.

You may want to research some design ideas in advance. Pinterest is a good resource.

You will need to provide your own glass for the eggs - opaque works best, and yellows, whites, oranges, and greens work well. If you prefer you can use transparent colors. If making plant stakes, the stakes will be provided at a cost of $1.00 each. (The stakes will be attached after the eggs have been fired.) The instructors will also provide embellishments materials for you to use. If you have your own, please bring them to the workshop.

IMPORTANT - If you need to order glass for this workshop, you must have your order into SW Art Glass (SWAG) by Friday, 5:00, February 27th. You can also purchase fusing glass from Tucson Stained Glass on Grant Ave.

You must have the following supplies for this workshop:

* opaque (or transparent) COE 96 glass - your choice of colors & enough to make three 3”x4” eggs (Each egg

               will need a 5” x 4 1/2” piece of glass.)
