AVAILABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

Join us in the classroom to design four lantern panels for an 11 inch white lantern (see pictures - mine are black lanterns - yours will be white). We will provide each member with the lantern at a cost of $16 payable to the instructors at the beginning of the workshop. (Please bring the exact amount.)

In this workshop you will be removing the original (non-fusible) glass from your lantern first. Then you will be using those four panels as your templates to mark on a 12”x12” sheet of clear COE 96 glass, and then we will be using the Beetle Bits or Morton cutting systems to cut your panels. The rest of the workshop time will be devoted to creating designs for each panel. Your designs can follow a theme: holiday, seasonal, floral, abstract, etc. if you’d like. You can get some great ideas from Pinterest. The instructors will have limited embellishment materials available for a small fee ($1-$2).

YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES FOR THIS WORKSHOP:

   * one 12”x12” sheet of clear COE 96 glass for the panels

   * embellishment materials to use for your designs (scrap glass, dots, stringers, frit, etc.)

   * a flat-head screw driver to remove the original lantern glass panels

   * and the general supplies listed below

General supplies to bring to class:
