NEW MEMBER ONLY
This workshop is for new members only. (You are considered a new member for 6 months after joining the club.) In this workshop you will be creating a colorful spoon rest. It will give you a chance to practice cutting on curves and also a chance to use a template in preparation for using a mold.

You can create any design you'd like on your spoon rest using: a Christmas theme, any other holiday them, a floral theme, geometric theme, abstract theme, etc.
The instructors will have embellishment materials available such as : dots, frit, stringers, and scrap glass in many colors. After completing your project you will bring your project to the front desk to pay a firing fee of $1.50.
You must bring the following supplies to this workshop;
* one 5"x10" sheet of opaque COE 96 glass (your choice of color)
* one 5"x10" sheet of clear COE 96 glass
* embellishment materials that you have such as scrap glass, dots, stringers, or frit
* $1.50 - small bills or a check - for the firing fee.
IMPORTANT - If you need glass for this workshop, please do not depend on our studio store. You should be ordering from Southwest Art Glass, buying from Tucson Stained Glass, or ordering from online suppliers like Delphi. If ordering from SWAG (Southwest Art Glass)), you must have your order in by 5:00, Friday, November 28th.
General supplies to bring to class:
* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
* Glues: Elmer’s (clear or white), Needle nosed bottle with non-aerosol hairspray
* Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Pen & Pencil * Other helpful items:Tweezers, Toothpicks, A carrying box for projects
* Safety Items: P-100 Mask, Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids
* Bring a firing ticket!
