BEGINNERS

This workshop is for Club members who have joined through Mosaics or Fused Glass and would also like to learn stained glass. We will teach you the copper foil method of stained glass in this two-day class.  Finished project size is 4” x 9”.

We will provide the pattern, glass, and supplies needed to complete the project. We will have a selection of glass available so you can choose your own colors for this project. Tools will be provided for those students who do not have their own. 

Below is a list of tools and other items you will be using:

• Toyo cutter
• Running pliers
• Grozers
• Work board and push pins
• Solder 6/40
• Classic Gel flux
• Black patina for solder
• 7/32 black backed copper foil or 1/4" your choice
• Fid
• Hand towel
• Carrying box for projects
• Band aids

Remember closed toe shoes and safety glasses are required. Please wear your name badge.

Cancellation Policy: To cancel a workshop, members must submit a cancellation notice to the website calendar administrator at events.gvrgac@gmail.com.

Effective June 1st, 2025, members scheduled for a workshop must cancel their signup at least 48 hours in advance (with exceptions in the event of an emergency). If a member does not show up for a workshop , w/o proper notification given, they will be prohibited from registering for another workshop for 3 months.
