Slump a Bowl or Plate

Sorry, registration has ended.

Using COE 96 glass and a one of our studio molds (limit size to 12"x12"), create a square or rectangular or round plate or bowl in this two-day workshop. If you are a beginner, you can start small. If you are more experienced with slumping molds and cutting glass, choose one of the larger molds to slump your glass. Using various colors of glass, create a one-of-a-kind work of art. Day one is a three-hour designing workshop (1:00 to 4:00) where you will choose your mold (You may want to select your mold at home and bring the mold number to class.), design your project on paper and choose glass which you will be ordering during class through SW Art Glass. (Check Pinterest.com and bring several ideas for your project). Day two is a four-hour workshop (12:30 to 4:30) where you will cut glass and construct your design in preparation for your first firing. If more time is needed to complete your project, you can work on it independently at the studio and when finished, take it to the kiln room for firing. SUPPLIES FOR DAY ONE: Bring several ideas (check Pinterest.com), paper, pencil and eraser to day 1 of workshop. IMPORTANT: Bring your cell phone or iPad to class to place an order for your glass through SW Art Glass. SUPPLIES FOR DAY 2: Bring ALL of your cutting and construction tools to day 2 of the workshop (don't forget your cutting surface). No tools, glue or cutting surface will be supplied. Prerequisite: "How 2 Cut Glass" and "Learn 2 Fuse" or equivalent. Contact instructor if in doubt - Ltouzeau@cox.net
